“ Such a cute coffee shop! I’ve been going to the ice cream store near here for almost 10 years now, and even though I’ve seen Bean & Basket, I’ve never gone in until this week! I am so glad I did because the atmosphere was amazing. I asked the barista who was working for their favourite drink and got recommended the Maple Latte which was the perfect amount of sweet. It was empty when I went and there was a lot of seating available! I particularly loved the little area for kids. I browsed the goodies that they had and there was such a wide variety ranging from jewellery to ceramics! I will definitely be back to get gifts for my friends and family. ”

“ A quaint little coffee house and retail store in Pickering village offers a quiet getaway from the rush. I went there this morning for a cappuccino and a berry scone. The coffee tasted great, it was enjoyable and not too strong. The scone was sweet, fluffy and the perfect size. Service was friendly and outgoing. The overall atmosphere and quiet, peaceful and not overly cluttered even though the rest of the store is used for retail. Speaking of which, you'll find a lot of local products and sustainable goods to support other local businesses. This is a lovely coffee house and I recommend stopping in and staying a while. ”

You’ll find everything from hot sauces and soaps to jewelry and a few small gift items. We picked up a jar of soup and a couple of cute things for the kids while browsing. The space is thoughtfully decorated and has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. For a small cafe, the drink menu is nicely curated. We ordered a flat white and a vanilla latte. Both were well made, and I especially appreciated that the vanilla latte wasn’t overly sweet. We also tried a poppyseed scone and an oatmeal chocolate square. The scone stood out as it was fresh, soft, and had just the right texture. The oatmeal chocolate square made for a nice little treat alongside our drinks. This spot is a great place to stop by whether you’re looking for a good coffee, a small treat, or a thoughtful gift. It's a little gem with a strong local vibe, ”

Although I won't dear bring my boys here (as they will trash every display immediately) it's so nice that there's lot of non caffeine and healthy menu options for kids and babies.
